Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and TeamBuy (“TeamBuy”, “we”, “us”) for the TeamBuy mobile app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You may browse stores and clubs without an account. You need an account to create or join a club.

• You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email to you. A mobile number is also required to register.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Use a permanent email address that you own.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your email account secure.
• One person, one account. Do not create accounts for others or create fake accounts.

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

TeamBuy is a platform that helps people at the same store group up so that everyone in the group can benefit from an offer that needs more than one buyer.

• Clubs. A user (the “club admin”) creates a club at a store for a specific offer. Other users can ask to join. The admin decides which requests to accept.
• Offers. Offers are set up by club admins from the offers the store provides. Offers can change or end, and clubs and join requests expire automatically after a set time.
• No payment through the app. TeamBuy does not collect or process payments. Each member pays their own share directly to the store at its counter.
• We are not the seller. TeamBuy is not a party to any sale between you and a store. The store sets prices, availability and whether it honours an offer.

• Only create a club you actually intend to complete, and only at a store you can visit.
• There is a limit on how many active clubs one admin can run at a time.
• Be honest about the offer and your contribution. Do not mislead other members.
• Admins who upload a purchase bill must upload a genuine bill for the group order.
• Show up and complete the purchase at the time agreed. Repeatedly joining clubs and not turning up may lead to restrictions on your account.
• A club may be cancelled by its admin, or expire automatically. Cancelled or expired clubs release their members.

You agree not to:

• Break any law, or infringe anyone’s rights.
• Post or upload content that is false, abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or otherwise offensive.
• Impersonate another person or business, or give false names or details.
• Sign up with throwaway or disposable email addresses, or create multiple accounts to gain an advantage.
• Scrape, copy or resell data from the Service, or use bots or automated tools without our written permission.
• Probe, disrupt or attempt to break into the Service or other users’ accounts.
• Use the Service to resell goods or to run a business without our written permission.

You keep ownership of what you submit, such as your name, profile photo, club details, feedback and uploaded bills (“Your Content”). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, display and process Your Content only as needed to run and improve the Service.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.

Store names, logos and details belong to their owners and are shown only to help you find a store. Their appearance does not mean the store endorses or is partnered with TeamBuy. Store information comes partly from third-party sources, such as Google Places, and may be out of date or inaccurate. The Service may link to third-party sites or services that we do not control.

We try to keep the Service available, but we do not promise it will always work without interruption or errors. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Service, and we may update these Terms. If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend or close your account, or remove content, if you break these Terms, misuse the Service, or if we are required to by law. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as liability and governing law) will continue after your account ends.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not make any promises about the Service or the offers shown on it, including that offers will be honoured, that other members will take part or complete a purchase, or that store information is accurate. You deal with other users and stores at your own risk, and you should use your own judgement before meeting anyone or making a purchase.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeamBuy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit or savings, or any loss arising from your dealings with other users or stores. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for using the Service, which for a free service is zero.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and TeamBuy, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, for providing maintenance or support, or for any claim about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they apply to you, and may enforce them against you.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute that arises from them, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law.
